<< BACK Sainsbury’s Stores, Ilford, London Urban design proposals for redevelopment of supermarket site to include new residential development and public plaza in a prominent location at the end of the High Street. Preparation of details included a tree survey to BS5837, landscape and lighting layout and landscape design statement to accompany a planning application. Proposals for the new plaza aimed to create a focal area of public realm using high quality materials, formal tree planting and sculptural seating. Particular emphasis was given to the appearance of the development after dark, with a night-time study prepared to illustrate the effect of the lighting proposals. |
