<< BACK Ferranti Park, London Borough of Lewisham Creation of a pocket park and nature park as part of an urban design framework to link St Paul’s Church with the Laban Dance Centre in Deptford. The designs for a bespoke shelter and artwork panels incorporated in the perimeter walls were developed in association with local artists, drawing inspiration from the industrial heritage of the site. The pocket park also included a teenage play area and the nature park required the remediation of contaminated land and measures to promote natural establishment of indigenous plants. The project was the winner of the Urban Greenspace Category of the Local Government News Awards. |
